Kaleb Dahlgren

Kaleb is resilience personified with his dream to play in a college hockey game. He was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes in early childhood but he decided to work hard and believe in himself even when doctors told him it would be difficult for him to succeed in hockey. After a horrific bus crash when he was part of the Broncos team which resulted in the death of 16 players and severely injured Kaleb along with 13 other players, he still didn't give up. The traumatic brain injury should have forced him unfit to play hockey, but with perseverance, he returned to the ice. Audiences will walk away with insights on how to be resilient in light of uncertainty and unforeseen circumstances. Kaleb draws from personal experiences to motivate virtual audiences to keep on going and never admit defeat.
